Sandy Morris
Topics: rabbits, farming, Criffel Water Scheme, local community
Farming is in Sandy’s blood. He never contemplated anything else. From his grandfather, who bought the family farm with the revenue from trapping rabbits, to his father’s diversification into sheep and involvement in the discovery of low soil selenium, to his own bringing in the house cows at 5 years old, buying in to Corbridge Downs farm with his dad in the mid 60’s and setting up the Criffel Water Scheme with a local group. The family is deeply rooted in the area. Sandy has supported the A & P show from the time it was one circle of cars on the outside of the ring, and for his huge voluntary input has been awarded a life membership.
