Carrick Jones recalls his time as a builder from the mid 1960’s to 1980 and then later as a retailer in Wānaka. Together with his wife, he operated “Jones of Wanaka”, a unisex fashion store. In the 1980’s and 90’s, it was one of only a handful of retail shops in Wānaka. In the interview, he reflects on his time running the shop and mentions his wide range of interests and roles outside of paid employment. Some of these activities included rugby, yachting, squash, PTA and theatre group.
