Diana Manson
Topics: Family life, community groups, gardening, te reo Māori
Diana has lived all her life in the Upper Clutha, apart from teacher training and her first teaching jobs in and around Dunedin. In this series of interviews she talks about her childhood and early teenage years in Wānaka including many tales of her family adventures, her experience as a working mother, and her later key role as a Parks and Reserves Officer (Wānaka) for the Queenstown Lakes District Council. She also reflects on her many community contributions and her decision to learn te reo Māori as an adult, all of which leads to a fascinating glimpse into a life dedicated to people, place and lifelong learning.
