Janet Malloch

Topics: Wānaka, development, arts, community groups

Janet has fond memories of family holidays in Wānaka as a child and returning later, after her husband died, to create a home for her and her children. She became involved in the community through her teaching and participation in the arts, including the Upper Clutha Community Arts Council. Along with her sister, Marg, she designed and built a commercial building along the lakefront which has cafes, apartments, an underground car park and one of their sculptures in the courtyard.
