Topics: Cardrona Ski Field, Snow Park, Snow Farm, Cardrona township, community events
Mary Lee picks up her life story at the point she meets her future husband, John Lee, while she is still a student at the Dunedin School of Physiotherapy.
Their partnership has seen the development of the Cardrona Ski field, Snow Park and Snow Farm in the Cardrona area of the Upper Clutha. John is referred to as the “visionary one” and Mary as the “passionate, stubborn and driving force” that made the visions happen.
The Lee family developed the Merino Muster at the Snow Farm in 1995 which is recognised as an International Event and part of the World Loppet series.
